Be A Witness!

"You will receive power after the Holy Spirit comes upon you and you will be my witnesses." --Jesus (Acts 1:8)

Everyone who follows Jesus Christ leads someone else. People are watching!

Don't be intimidated. Witnessing for Christ is not as difficult as you might think. It's just being yourself as you express your hope and confidence in God. When people ask questions beyond your ability to answer, just refer them to a friend (mature Christian) or an expert (pastor or Bible teacher).

Here are some resources to help you improve your own preparedness, and pass along to others.

Christian Websites

Here are some useful links to Web sites with Christian content.

Need to search an online Bible? Buy a Christian book or video or audio recording? Discover Christian software? There\'s so much available on the Web!

If you know a link that we might add here, send it along with a statement about why you think it\'s a useful site.

Bible Translations

There are so many English translations of the Bible available today, you may wonder, "WHY?"

Most translations are the effort of a group of people to keep the language of the Bible up-to-date, so the largest number of people will be able to understand it and benefit from reading it.

The key to initially choosing the "right" Bible for you is to find the one that is most comfortable for you to read. That way, you won't be disinclined to read it every day!

Click below to view most of the current English versions. Click on a translation name and learn a bit about it, and see how each one renders two verses from Paul's letter to the Romans.

If you would like to test drive a whole chapter in various translations, we suggest you start right here with the third chapter of John.
